Engagement Cookies & Cakes
This is a Chinese traditions of using engagement cookies and to be given for the family and friends who share the engagement event just like in the blog entry of Double Happiness Red Packet.
This blog entry I dedicate to my dearest youngest sister who is also going to get engaged and married soon after I am getting married. In a way, she is reviewing everything that I would be going through in preparation for her own wedding.
In Chinese traditions, the eldest must get married before the younger ones and they cannot get married in the same year, it has be separated. (As what I was told)
Amongst all the pressure and the loss of excitement that I feel of getting married, Sister is the one who is the most excited to go through all the wedding pamphlets, go through the wedding gowns and attending the Wedding Expo. I love to share her excitement.
This Engagement Cookies/ Cakes/ Food information/ brochure is actually given by my uncle as reference for my Engagement but it was already arranged so, there was not much use to it. But would like to share hereby
I found that relatives are actually very happy for this exciting events and this, I use as catalyst to find the excitement again.
I would love to translate what is written in this Engagement Cookies brochure, which is actually very meaningful.
